The critical situation of water supply in most parts of South Azerbaijan has taken a dangerous state.
According to GAMAC quotes from regional sources, the critical situation of water resources in the province of Hamadan reported and, consequently, the decline in groundwater levels has created a lot of holes in this province.
The number of holes has been 24, and this number has been rising. 13 of that hole exists in the Plain of Kaboordang and the remain holes creates in the Razan-Ghahavand plain and the villages of this region.
The maximum depth of the sinkholes is about 60 meters.
It is worth mentioning the weak management of the Iranian government officials in natural resources in Iran, especially in South Azerbaijan and false interventions in nature, regardless of biological capacity, have caused the destruction of natural ecosystems in different parts of South Azerbaijan.
