Mirza Hussein Karimi Maraghei the South Azerbaijani great comedian and poet were horror by south Azerbaijan people in Maraqa city.
This statue was unveiled, in the presence of a group of officials from Maraqa city and lovers of Azerbaijani culture and literature in Karimi Maraghei Square.
This statue size is 2 meters and 70 cm which designed by Ma Kian Esfandiari artist in order of the municipality of Maraqa city.
Professor Mirza Hussein Karimi is one of the greatest satire poets of South Azerbaijan. He was born in 1927 in Maraqa city and resident of this city.
Most of Karimi poetry books are in Azerbaijani-Turkish language. And his comic series poetry book with the name of “RANGARANG” (Colorful) has been reprinted several times in 16 volumes.
