Maulvi Abdul Ghaffar Naqshbandi son of a prominent Scholar and the Imam of the central Mosque of Rask city said in Friday sermons: “ we will not forget the tragedy of raping girls in Iranshahr city, the place of OPPRESSOR and the OPPRESSED has been changed.”
It should be noted that Iran’s Sunni-dominated city of “Iran-Shahr” has seen thousands of demonstrators protesting against the abduction and rape of 41 girls, while the government is trying to calm the situation and promise to arrest those involved.
Both Sunni cleric and imam of the city of Iran-Shahr and Rask city “Mohammad Tayeb Mullah Zhi“&” Maulvi Abdul Ghaffar Naqshbandi” revealed Friday sermon about incidents of kidnapping and rape by unknown, noting that some of those cases were in the month of Ramadan.
Maulvi Abdul Ghaffar Naqshbandi added: ”we all expected that the perpetrators would be punished for their actions as soon as possible, but unfortunately, instead of them, those who wanted to defend the oppressed arrested and the government is trying to calm.”
On the other hand, the prosecutor of the city of “Zahedan,” the capital of Sistan-Baluchistan province, “Ali Muhdi Rad,” said that three suspects were arrested on the issue of rape, are being investigated, while the Iranian Interior Minister, “Abd al-Ridha Rahmani Fadhli,” ordered to open an urgent and quick investigation to verify the reports which talk about the rape of girls.
A UN report issued several months ago accused security officials, police and prison officials of committing abuses against detainees, including physical torture, rape and banning the entry of medicine.
