The Iran national classic bodybuilding, body classic and physics team succeeded in gaining 5 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronzes for the title of World Championship in Spain . Despite the success of the national team, on the way back to Iran, they slept on the ground at Madrid Airport.
Sleeping of Iranian national player in a commonplace and inappropriate place has observed many times due to fact that Iran sport federation doesn’t aim to invest to the sport fields.
On August 2012, The Iranian national karate team participated in the international games of Poland and won a gold medal in this tournament. But after a few days pictures have been published on social media which shown that the national team players rested on the floor and at the train station.
Also, the national table tennis team of Iran had a similar situation on June 2017. Despite the full payment of the travel costs by the table tennis players, after arriving in Hamburg, they stayed at the bus stop under the rain for hours and finally slept in the lobby of the hotel and mosques in the city.
