In the political program of the channel 24 of the Turkish Network with name of Different View (Farklı görüş), the Turks of South Azerbaijan were described as the defensive shield and the main obstacle to a possible war between Turkey and Iran.
According to Gunaz Tv (the official media of South Azerbaijan) , Ardan Zentürk the director of the television program has referred to the fact that “half” of the Iranian population are Azerbaijani Turks, called the possibility of a war between Turkey and Iran “stupid” and “impossible”.
Mr. Zentürk, in explaining his words, says:” half of the Iranian population is composed of South Azerbaijani Turks. If we (Turkey) shoot missiles to Iran, half of the dead soldiers will be Turks. Of course, we (Turkey) cannot do that. “
He added: “Can Iran launch a missile to Turkey? The answer is no. Because the Azerbaijani people will say “what do you do! We cannot Shoot to my brothers! “
