The 13th festival of Azerbaijan folk music (ASHUG music) was held with the presence of the South Azerbaijan folk music’s Pioneers and citizens of Zanjan city.
The Azerbaijan folk music (ASHUG music) festival was held at the Imam Cultural Hall –Zanjan city on the 5th of May 2018.
It should be noted that the number of participants was so high, as a result of this, the hall capacity was filled immediately.
The 13th festival of Azerbaijan folk music was named “Linguistic and National Unity Festival”.
At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Muslim Asghari ( the music professors) was honored for his valuable services in the field of Azerbaijan folk music (ASHUG music).
The Azerbaijan ASHUG music is more than 500-year-old narrative and musical tradition that has survived in the mountains of Azerbaijan.
In 2009, the Azerbaijani ASHUG (ASHUG music) education was inscribed in the list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.
