Hadi Bahadori, the representative of the Urmia city in an interview with the stated news agency said:” Some dams of West Azerbaijan are overflowing but, government would not allow to release of water from dams to Lake Urmia.”
Bahadori added: “As a result of recent rainfall, the storage of dams in the watershed of Urmia lake is appropriate.The Ministry of Energy should release the excess water from these dams.”
“No attention is given to releasing water towards the Lake Urmia” Hadi Bahadori, the representative of the Urmia city said.
According to the representative of Urmia, the Iranian government does not take necessary measures to supply water to Urmia Lake. The Ministry of Energy is required to cooperate and release excess water from dams to lake.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Energy prevented to entrance of water to the lake of Urmia last year.
Islamic Republic of Iran with its targeted policies has been hit this critical situation for the Lake Urmia.
The Drying of South Azerbaijan’s Lake Urmia and its Environmental Consequences have caused a huge number of the migration of South Azerbaijani people to the Persian region. This is assimilation policy of Iranian regime toward Turkish people who lives in Iran geography.
