After the global registration of Pure black carpet Khoy city, South Azerbaijan Afshar‘s Carpet in Tikan Tapa City has taken place in the global registration stage.
The chairman of the carpet industry organization of the West Azerbaijan said:” The customs problems of exporting carpets of Azerbaijan are going to solve through correspondence with the national carpet center. And exporting the Azerbaijan’s carpet like Afshar‘s Carpet to international markets will be more easy.”
It should be noted that the manufacturing of South Azerbaijan’s carpet is unique and has high quality compare with other carpets. The textual method of South Azerbaijan’s carpet has attributed to the Seljuk Turks period .
South Azerbaijan handmade carpet is considered as one of the most valuable handicrafts in terms of occupation and art. The best handmade carpets produce from the South Azerbaijan region.
It should be highlighted that Tabriz registered as “World Carpet City” by the World Crafts Council (WCC) in 2015.
