Tabriz, South Azerbaijan, July 9
The representative of the Urmia city urged the chairman of the East Azerbaijan judiciary to release of the detainees of the Babak Castle.
Following the protest of the Azerbaijani Turks, Nader Gazipour, the representative of the Urmia, reacted to the illegal detention of South Azerbaijani activists at the Babak Castle.
He wrote on Instagram’s official page: ”I request the Justice Chief of East Azerbaijan to release the detainees of the Babak Castle for the sake of national unity.”
It should be highlighted that apart from the representative of the Urmia, other South Azerbaijani representatives have not reacted to the massive detention of South Azerbaijan national activists.
In the wave of arrest of South Azerbaijan national and civil right activist, at least 65 activists have been arrested by intelligence agents.
