Saeed Khalili the attorney of Ms. Parisa Rafiee(South Azerbaijani Turk Student form Zanjan city) has announced that she was sentenced to 7 years in prison by Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.
According to Gunaz Tv (the official media of South Azerbaijan) the Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, Ms. Parisa Rafiee, a 21-year-old university student at the University of Tehran sentenced to 7 years imprisonment for “propaganda against the regime”, “gathering and colluding with a view to committing a crime against national security” and “disrupting public order”.
Saeed Khalili, defense lawyer of Parisa Rafii, reported that “In my opinion, there is no logical reason which would definitely indicate that (my client) has committed a crime against national security. Her file does not contain any documents and evidence to this effect.
It should be mentioned that another South Azerbaijani student “Roya Saghiri” was sentenced to 23-month imprisonment on 24th Aug 2018.
