Tabriz, South Azerbaijan, July 23
South Azerbaijan national and civil right activist have protested the racist attitude “Prohibition of Native Language Education in Schools” of IRAN Minister of Education by the wide distribution of posters in Tabriz on 23th of July.
The Protests of South Azerbaijan people against racist remarks of Mohammad Bhtohei have continued in South Azerbaijan’s cities.
Mohammad Bhtohei the minister of Education at the meeting of the undergraduate elementary education and education official’s tribes on Saturday 14 July 2018 said: “The teaching of students to Persian literature and speech in the Persian language is our red line. Even in nonperson region teachers should teach the whole lecture in the Persian language which is the unity of our country.”
South Azerbaijan activists in this protest movement, while expressing their disgust at systematic racism against the Turks in Iran, demanded the teaching of Azerbaijani-Turkish language in schools and called the Turkish language is the “red line” of South Azerbaijan.
