Vali-Allah Taghizadeh the South Azerbaijani prisoner from Ardabil went on hunger strike from Feb 14, 2018, to protest the lengthy process of examining his lawsuit. He has been in Tabriz central prison for more than 12 years.
He has been lost at least 22 kilograms weight and continues to strike. It should be noted that he faced with the lack of attention of the authorities to his hunger strike.
At the time of the hunger strike, Vali-Allah Taghizadeh has also suffered from a drop in blood pressure and has prevented any Saline. consequently, he loses weight day by day.
It has been reported, since the prisoner’s hunger strike, none of the prison authorities have been addressing the legal process of his case.
Vali-Allah Taghizadeh is 42 years old. He is currently detained in Clause 9 of the Tabriz Central Prison.
According to the source close to this prisoner, eleven years ago, he confessed to torture in the intelligence office and despite the fact that he did not commit any crime.However, The judge issued a death sentence only with his knowledge without having a valid proof.
