The UNESCO Organization has published Mother Language Day‘s posts on its official Instagram and Twitter page in recent days, which faced with thousands of comments of South Azerbaijani people.
UNESCO’s official pages on social networks broadcast images emphasizing the necessity of education of children in their mother language.
Thousands of Southern Azerbaijani people objected to the lack of education and teaching in their mother tongue in Iran.They wrote an English text under the comments of each post of UNESCO to consider this issue and warning Iranian Regime.
The text of South Azerbaijani people is as follows:
“February 21, International #MotherLanguageDay
But… In 21st century, #40 million #Turks of #Iran are deprived of their #Mother Language education.#Iran 40milion #Turks demand @UNESCO to warn #Iran government on this case. Education in mother language is all people primary right.”

The organization recently asked users to post a single video in English: How many languages can you see in this video? Everyone has the right to be educated in their mother tongue.
UNESCO also emphasizes investment in education system. UNESCO has identified education as the most powerful tool in the world which can help the world change and create a sustainable future and peaceful world.
