The Pahlavi regime’s greatest treachery against Iran’s Turks

Tabriz, South Azerbaijan, Apr 11

Atila Analo from Chandgan town has written a brief article on the oppressions on Turk dominated areas of Iran after the period of the Qajar that show the racism of the Pahlavi regime.

The Pahlavi regime divided Turk dominated areas from the center of Iran to the central provinces of Isfahan, Lorestan and Chaharmahal – Bakhtiari regions.

Therefore the center of Iran isolated from any Turks and does not have a Turkish provincial center, Atila Analo says in the article.

It should be noted that the Pahlavi regime under the pretext of building dams destroyed villages and towns, where the majority of the population were Turk and made them travel to other parts of Iran.

By spending billions of dollars, the government transferred water from Turk-dominated areas to Tajik-dominated regions and this forced the locals to leave their hometowns. The aim of the plan was to force the locals to forget their own language and culture.

The article says Turk-dominated areas have remained impoverished and have no access to the basic services.

It should be highlighted that Iran’s largest national wealth, even most natural resources of South Azerbaijan such as SUNGUN COPPER MINE, is spent in Persian provinces.

Despite having lots of natural resources in south Azerbaijan regions, these areas are the most deprived areas in Iran.

Another treachery of both Pahlavi and Iranian regime’s against Iran’s Turks are converting the historical and touristic place ’s name from their original into Persian name.
