The “Justice for Khojali” gathering took place in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
According to Gunaz Tv (the official media of South Azerbaijan), The gathering was held by a community of Azerbaijani and Turkish activists from the United States in Illinois –Chicago city on the 25th of Feb.
The “Justice for Khojali” rally was held from 14.00 to 15.00 in Chicago. At the beginning of peaceful gathering, tens of Azerbaijani and Turkish activists stood a minute of silence for the memory of the victims of the Khojaly massacre. Then the official commemoration started.
This gathering was held in commemoration of Khojali genocide and some activist gave a speech about the dimensions of this catastrophe.
The Representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish community, students and residents of the region were present in the peaceful gathering. Also, Mr. Umut Ajar the Turkish Consulate in Chicago and other delegates were attended in this peaceful rally.
Mr. Amin Safarov, the activists of the assembly has described the details of Khojaly’s massacre and discussed about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the relations between North Azerbaijan and Armenia during his speech.
Then, Mr. Erhan Duman read the story of one of the female survivors and witnesses of the Khojaly torture camp “Ms. Durdane Agayeva”.

Also, the gatherers at this commemoration have been brought the attention of the world to occupation of 20% of the territory of North Azerbaijan and the displacement and forced migration of more than a million of Azerbaijani compatriots as a result of the Armenian military aggression with their slogans and posters.
At the end, Rauf Qaraev the organizer of the commemoration of the Khojaly massacre thanked the participants for their participation.
