A 5.7 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts North Azerbaijan

Baku, North Azerbaijan, Nov. 18

3 earthquakes have occurred in Lerik city of North Azerbaijan’s Lankaran district, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of North Azerbaijan today at 03:00 (GMT+4).

According to state media, the earthquake occurred at depth of 18 km.

Earlier, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit Aghdam district Nov. 15 at 11.48 p.m. The earthquake occurred at depth of 25 km.

Another earthquake measuring magnitude 3 in the epicenter was recorded Nov. 16 at 02:02 a.m. in North Azerbaijan’s Barda district. The earthquake occurred at depth of 25 km. The earthquake was felt in surrounding areas.
