A Conference on the occasion of 22 May 2006 uprising of South Azerbaijan people was held by sponsorship of GAMAC (South Azerbaijan National Liberation Front ) and the cooperation of the Yildirim Bayazid University in Ankara on Monday 30th April 2018.
The conference was held with the participation of a group of civil activists, students, writers, researchers, university professors.
Participants from both South & North Azerbaijani, Turkey, Japan, Russia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Iraqi Turks and the Balkan countries participated in the conference.
The conference, entitled “The bloody uprising of May 22 in South Azerbaijan and its political and social effects,” was held at the 15 Temmuz conference hall of the Yildirim Bayazid University.
Scientific and political figures gave a speech about the 22 May 2006 uprising of South Azerbaijan people at this conference.
The speakers of the conference were as follow:
1 – Professor Nasib Nisibali – professor of the University of Ankara
2-Professor Dr. Selcuk Duman – Professor at Giresun University
3-Mr.Hikmat Alp – Researcher and Teacher
4 – Mr.Mehdi Naeimi – Teacher of Turkish language and National and Civil right activist from the South Azerbaijan
5 – Dr.Karim Asghari – (Ph.D. Student in international relations field and Iran and the Caucasus affairs expert)
6- Ms.Mahsa Mehdizadeh – spokesman of the GAMAC Organization
At the end of the conference,the speakers responded to the questions of participants.
And,the honorable dignity was given to speakers by the GAMAC Organization (South Azerbaijan National Liberation Front ) .
The conference began at 14:00 in Ankara and ended after 2 hours and 30 minutes .
It should be noted that the conference was open to the public.
