The anniversary of the testimony of the South Azerbaijan National Commander was held with the participation of South Azerbaijan National activists in Urmia.
On the anniversary of the death of Sattar Khan, the memory of this national hero and myth of resistance of Azerbaijan was commemorated by reading Azerbaijani Turkish poems and opening banners with Turkish national slogans.
Sattar khan is a historical symbol of the struggle against the occupation of Azerbaijan’s soil by the Russian forces. Sattar khan symbolizes resistance to tyranny and oppression. He was beside the working people and different classes of the nation of South Azerbaijan.
During the past years, South Azerbaijan National and civil right right activist have commemorate their hero “Sattar Khan” with the gathering on his grave. However, they have faced with threaten and detain of Iran regime’s security forces.
